Vision

Learning that grows out of understanding

Founded 2025 · Basel

AI-Future AG brings playing, learning, growing and discovering together in one inspiring experience. We are convinced that learning does not have to be dry and boring: done right, it can be the most exciting thing in life.

Step by step, the software of AI-Future AG recognises personal progress, builds confidence in one’s own abilities and accompanies learning with the fun of playing.

Our philosophy: discover new things with open eyes, feel real joy in learning and grow beyond ourselves together.

Founding idea

AI-Future AG in Basel: new ways of learning with artificial intelligence

AI-Future AG was founded in Basel as a company that develops AI-supported learning and game systems to make education more personalised, more efficient and more accessible.

AI-Future AG aims to strengthen learning where motivation, feedback and individual progress matter most. Artificial intelligence serves as a precise tool: it supports, structures and personalises learning paths without moving people out of the centre.

The company was founded by the experienced entrepreneurs Rolf W. Brugger, Rainer Späne and Alfred Anderhalden. Rolf W. Brugger, initiator and Chairman of the Board, has decades of experience as CTO and CIO at leading Swiss insurance companies. He also developed and patented a method for downloading music (“Musik-Ei”) and founded MMK Multimedia Kommunikations AG (Pixelpark).

The shareholders Rainer Späne and Alfred Anderhalden complement the Board with entrepreneurial expertise. Prof. Dr. Rolf Dornberger, Head of the Institute for Information Systems at FHNW, further strengthens the Board.

Operational management lies with Felix Dornberger (CEO), who translates the company’s strategic vision into concrete product development and is responsible for building the early team.

“We want to make learning not only more digital, but also more individual, more efficient and more inspiring. AI cannot replace education, but it can revolutionise it, always with people at the centre.”

Rolf W. Brugger, Chairman of the Board

A central part of the strategy is close collaboration with university research. Together with academic partners, concepts, models and prototypes are developed, evaluated and turned into marketable products.

Based in Basel, AI-Future AG plans to launch its first pilot projects with educational institutions and companies in the coming months. In the long term, the company aims to become a centre of expertise for AI-supported learning technologies, in Switzerland and internationally.

Who we are

AI-Future AG is a dynamic company from Basel. Our office is at St. Alban-Anlage 58, and our team comes from software development, game design and learning research. We are small, make decisions quickly and build things ourselves.

What we are building

We work at the intersection of software development and EdTech, opening up new learning opportunities in the games sector. To do this, we are developing three things together: a full-fledged 3D game, a speech and AI pipeline that understands children, and learning content that is taught playfully through a new didactic concept.

Research

We work closely with FHNW in Basel. Our aim is learning progress that can be measured, not just progress that feels good.

  1. Understanding over activity

Our game rewards what a child has understood, not how long they play.

  2. Built to last for years

A game that grows with the child needs a foundation that lasts.
